In this session, ‘Questions of English in the classroom’ – Does language really matter?’, the English Language Centre will lead an exploration of approaches to effective communication, how audience and purpose play a role in this consideration and what strategies can be used to promote better understanding for all students.

The Student Journey Team is available to support new and returning students throughout all aspects of their student journey. They are a team of friendly staff who can provide reassurance and deal with a wide range of enquiries including induction and orientation support; navigating and understanding University systems, regulations and policies; and, accessing and signposting to University support services.
