Credit level descriptors provide a framework to aid programme and module development. They help us to develop learning outcomes that reflect the level expected. This means that the level expected in our programmes and modules is broadly comparable across the University and the sector.

The University has developed new Credit Level Descriptors (below) and these should be adopted by all new Programme proposals submitted for validation from September 2016 and adopted by existing Programmes at the point of their next periodic review following September 2016.

It has been agreed that the new Teesside University Credit Level Descriptors will be introduced through the Programme Approval and Review process from September 2016 using a phased approach as outlined above. In some instances, you may require access to the previous version of the Teesside University Level Descriptors.
