The LTExChange Network provides an inclusive forum and space for academic and professional service staff to share and discuss learning and teaching practices, projects, and initiatives.
This first symposium event will showcase and discuss key work developed through the University’s Institutional Retention Project. There will also be interactive opportunities to engage with school and central department project leads who will be sharing key insights and findings from interventions and practice developments implemented at School and University level.
The event will be framed by a keynote presentation by Dr. Liz Austen and Dr. Rebecca Hodgson (Sheffield Hallam University) who will be who will be outlining key work they have completed in the sector alongside actionable insights for educators and academic leaders. Enhancing Student Retention – School Perspectives.
- 10-minute lightening talks from School Retention Project Leads on key initiatives and learning following the implementation of School-level retention plans.
- This will be followed by questions and discussion around key emerging themes and ideas.
11.45 – 12.15
A Panel discussion – ‘Enhancing Student Retention and Success: An institutional perspective’
- Comprising colleagues from our Central Departments (Student and Library Services including Student Futures) who will be joined by School Retention Project Leads, exploring emerging themes, challenges, and future opportunities in the retention and success of students.
