Please see below from QAA

QAA have published six newly revised Subject Benchmark Statements.

You can access the statements here.

The revised statements cover Architecture; Art and Design; History of Art, Architecture and Design; Social Policy; Sociology; and Social Work. They reflect recent developments across each discipline and are designed to help you review, enhance and future proof your provision, while remaining flexible enough to align with your mission and priorities.

These updates are intended to actively support your work, providing a refreshed and authoritative reference point for thinking about academic standards, graduate outcomes and curriculum development in your own context.

Please do take a look at the updated statements and consider how they might support your ongoing programme design, review or quality conversations.

Looking ahead: further resources to support your work

Alongside these updates, QAA are continuing to refresh other key resources to support you in designing, delivering and reviewing provision in line with sector expectations.

QAA updated Characteristics Statements will begin with the Short-Cycle Statement, with revised statements for bachelor’s, integrated master’s and master’s awards following in the autumn.

Next term QAA will publish nine Quality Code Advice and Guidance documents, providing practical detail to help you interpret and apply the Quality Code principles confidently and consistently within your own context.
