Tutoring Matters: Re-engineering academic advising and creating safe spaces: a transformational leadership approach

About This Webinar
Academic advisors often serve as the first, most significant, and most consistent point of contact between the student and the university. As such, the advisor is in a unique position to aid in the personal and professional development of students.  In this session, using transformational leadership strategies, we will take a deep dive into the four I’s of transformational leadership (Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation & Individualized Consideration) and connect those with the traits of academic advising to highlight that an academic advisor can develop as transformational leaders to build an effective academic advising culture and help students become successful.
