Welcome to the Adobe Education Institute (AEI) 2025: A Transformative Experience for Educators: May 6th to 9th
We’re delighted to invite all Teesside University staff to take part in the upcoming Adobe Education Institute event. This is an exciting professional development opportunity open to colleagues from across all subject areas and roles.
Whether you’re already using Adobe tools in your teaching and support practice or are curious about how Adobe can enhance your work, this event is a chance to explore new digital capabilities, improve your confidence, and earn recognition for your development.
What is the Adobe Education Institute?
The Adobe Education Institute is an online programme designed to support educators in building their digital skills using the Adobe suite, particularly Adobe Express, which is intuitive, accessible, and freely available to all staff and students at Teesside University.

Through a series of expert-led live sessions, tutorials, and practical activities, you’ll gain creative ideas and approaches to bring into your teaching or support practice. Most importantly, it’s designed with flexibility in mind, so you can engage in a way that suits your availability and pace.
During registration, you will be able to pick and choose which workshop sessions you would like to attend or simply select the ‘attend all’ option. Attending individual workshops, staff will earn a digital session badge, attending 4 workshops will achieve the Adobe Fellowship and attending 6 workshops and undertaking additional work will allow staff to achieve the new ‘Influencer’ status (and the possibility of being invited to join Adobe’s elite Thought Leader group).

Work Towards Your Adobe Fellowship
One of the great benefits of taking part is the opportunity to achieve Adobe Creative Educator (ACE) Fellowship status, an international recognition of your professional development and creative confidence with Adobe tools. You will also achieve session badges for each session you attend.
By completing the Institute programme, you’ll meet the criteria to apply for Adobe Fellowship, with support provided by the Digital Learning Specialist team to guide you through the process.
It’s also worth noting that Adobe Fellowship achievement can be used to support your:
- PGCLTHE development pathway
- Advanced HE Fellowship applications
This makes it a valuable addition to your professional portfolio.
November 2024 Success Story
At the November 2024 Adobe Education Institute, we were thrilled to see strong engagement from the Teesside community:
- 63 members of Teesside University staff attended across various sessions.
- 7 colleagues went on to successfully obtain Adobe Fellowship status.
This enthusiasm reflects a growing interest in enhancing digital pedagogy, supporting student engagement, and developing future-facing skills across the university.
What’s Next? How to Achieve Your Adobe Fellowship
By taking part in the Adobe Education Institute event, staff can work towards earning a range of digital credentials, including the internationally recognised Adobe Creative Educator Fellowship badge.
Here’s how it works:
Credential | How to earn |
---|---|
Earned by attending a live session or completing an on-demand recording. | |
Attend or complete at least four sessions during the Institute. | |
Attend at least six sessions and submit a portfolio of work created in Adobe Express.
* Exceptional portfolios may lead to an invitation to join Adobe’s elite Thought Leader group and be showcased at future events. |
These credentials are awarded directly by Adobe and provide a clear and flexible pathway to recognition, whether you’re just getting started with Adobe tools or looking to deepen your creative practice.
