We are pleased to announce and celebrate the outstanding educators at Teesside University who have achieved the prestigious Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) certification. This achievement is a testament to their dedication to transforming education through technology and innovation.
Our MIEEs have evidenced their innovative use of Microsoft applications and technologies to enhance the learning experiences they design and deliver for their students. In addition, our MIEEs have shared their knowledge and experiences to support, inspire and collaborate with others.
What is the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert certification?
Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts are educators and staff who are passionate about their work, are collaborative, change makers, who strive to empower students to achieve, whilst supporting and promoting the culture change necessary in their Schools/Departments/course teams.
Becoming a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert offers numerous benefits, including access to exclusive training, networking opportunities, and the chance to collaborate with like-minded educators worldwide. Together, we can continue to shape the future of education through innovation and technology.
Stay tuned for updates on the 2024-25 Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert program, which will be released in the coming months. In the meantime, you can explore valuable information about the MIEE program, its benefits, and how to apply based on our previous documentation provided by Microsoft and Teesside University here.
Digital Excellence Impact Case Studies
In the coming weeks, we will be profiling our MIEEs through our Digital Excellence Impact Case Studies. These profiles will highlight the innovative ways in which our MIEEs are using Microsoft tools to enhance education. It’s a chance for all of us to learn from their experiences and perhaps be inspired to try something ourselves!
Join the MIEE Community and Shape the Future
As we celebrate the achievements of our current MIEEs, we also want to extend an invitation to all our dedicated educators. If you’re inspired by their journey and eager to join the MIEE community, we encourage you to consider applying for next year’s MIEE certification. The Digital Transformation Team (DX, SLAR) at Teesside University will be here to support and guide you throughout the application process.
The application window typically opens mid-May for around two months. We’d be happy to work with you prior to this to discuss your practice, identify evidence for your application and help you with your submission. Please drop us a line at elearning@tees.ac.uk
More information about the 2024 application process and criteria will be made available later in the academic year.
