TUCP Conference – Friday 1 September
T1.10
10:00 – 16:00
The annual Teesside University College Partnership (TUCP) Conference is an opportunity for staff from across the partnership to network, engage and learn about new themes and initiatives relating to higher level skills and College-based Higher Education. The Conference will feature a range of informative and engaging sessions on a number of key themes, and is designed to inspire attendees and encourage collaboration across the Partnership ahead of the start of the 2023/24 academic year. The Conference is free to attend and is open to all staff across the TUCP.
Our keynote speaker for the TUCP Conference will be Dr John Lea, a recognised national authority on the delivery of higher education in college settings. Following positions at Greenwich University and Canterbury Christ Church University, John was appointed as Director of the HEFCE-funded Scholarship Project in 2015. This project involved working across 45 colleges involved in higher education delivery to enhance learning and teaching in technical and professional learning contexts. John has undertaken research and consultancy for a range of sector bodies, including co-authoring ‘Capturing an HE ethos in college higher education practice’ for the QAA and ‘Developing research-based curricula in college-based higher education’ for the Higher Education Academy.
