We have launched a new additional support service for students. The service is provided by Health Assured and offers 24/7 support to students. Students can download the ‘My Healthy Advantage’ app to access self-help resources and also to contact a team of counsellors via telephone, email or video call. The helpline can also be accessed outside of the app (0800 028 3766).
Students can access support for the following areas:
- Stress and anxiety
- Exam worries
- Financial wellbeing
- Relationships
- Family or childcare concerns
- Legal information
- Housing concerns
- Bereavement
- Alcohol and drugs
- Any student related issues
The helpline can also be used by staff who are supporting a student and would like some advice and guidance about how they can assist. This also includes advice on how to support a student who may present in distress – this may help as a point of contact to support staff with decision making around signposting and referrals, particularly for student facing staff.
Health Assured have offered to deliver some information sessions where they will talk through the service and answer any questions you might have. The sessions will be via Teams:
- Thursday 24th November 10:30-11:00
- Monday 28th November 14:00-14:30
If you or any of your teams would like a place on one of the sessions, please could you email P.A.SLS@tees.ac.uk.
