There is a UKAT (UK Advising and Tutoring) Webinar, Thursday 17th October at 2pm around Understanding resilience within student populations. This webinar aims to explore the issues around resilience, student retention and the use of data. The webinar will outline some case studies and give participants an insight into how an online resilience tool can support personal tutoring. There is also a further Webinar (Thursday 28th November 2pm): Tutoring Matters – Supporting International Students in Personal Tutorials.
These Webinars are timely; as you will be aware, Semester 1 here at Teesside University, has seen the introduction of the University’s new Learner Analytics solution – StREAM. We are currently in the middle of delivering staff development sessions across the University around ‘Personal Tutoring through StREAM’ and would encourage all staff to attend one of these sessions.
