You may have seen the recent article on the University website about the success of the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exams that were held during our Future Facing Learning Conference earlier this year where many staff successfully achieved MCE certification.
We’re now facilitating opportunities every Wednesday afternoon for staff and students to undertake not just the MCE certification, but also any Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualifications. Again, we are able to offer this thanks to our partners – Prodigy Learning. This is a great opportunity for everyone to gain formal certification of their digital skills.
Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE)
Primarily aimed at academic members of staff and future educators, the certification is validation of your global technology competencies required to facilitate 21st century learning using Microsoft’s “21 CLD” framework and professional tools. To prepare for the test, we encourage participants to review Microsoft’s 21st Century Learning Design course via the Microsoft Education Community. Successful completion of the MCE professional qualification is an accolade and testament to how we prepare students to become future ready at Teesside.
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
Aimed at staff and students in all roles, MOS certification is for those looking to demonstrate proficiency in one or more Microsoft Office programs. Successful completion of these professional qualifications is an accolade and testament to demonstrating industry-leading skills and knowledge to command the full features and functionality of Microsoft Office. Certifications are available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access. Some additional information on MOS is available here from Microsoft.
