Anthology have recently released the Blackboard “Design Assistant” feature, developed in partnership with Microsoft.  With teaching staff in control, the Design Assistant uses enterprise-grade AI to assist subject matter experts with creating engaging and effective learning experiences.

In December 2024 we will be enabling the following features:

  • Image generation
  • Question and question bank generation
  • Discussion board prompt generation
  • Journal prompt generation
  • Assessment activity generation

The AI Design Assistant was created in accordance with Anthology’s Trustworthy AI framework and offer benefits such as time savings, plagiarism prevention via authentic assessment, alignment with learning taxonomies, and adaptable complexity levels.

Digital Transformation (DX) in SLAR have arranged some sessions for colleagues who would like to know more about Blackboard’s Design Assistant.  The hour-long sessions will provide hands-on experience while reassuring staff of AI’s role as a teaching companion.
