We are delighted to announce that the UKAT Annual Conference is returning as a physical conference this year and will be held at Swansea University on 3 & 4 April 2023. The theme of the conference is Personal Tutoring: Enhancing Outcomes for All Students. We want to embrace the benefits of being together by maximising the opportunities for delegates to interact with one another, share the practices, issues and concerns which are important to them, and to leave with new ideas and potential solutions to the challenges of Personal Tutoring: Enhancing Outcomes for All Students.
The Call for Proposals for the conference is now open. We are inviting contributions which consider how we engage students with personal tutoring, different approaches for diverse student cohorts, addressing attainment gaps, improving employability, and the acquisition of graduate attributes. We welcome a broad and innovative range of other perspectives on what Enhancing Outcomes for All Students might mean. We would like presenters to propose sessions based on topics which focus on the ways in which they believe that personal tutoring can help students address current and future challenges and achieve better outcomes for all students. The Conference Committee will focus on proposals which address contemporary issues and practices in personal tutoring. Contributions based on experiences, effective practices, research studies or which promote discussion between delegates on hot topics are particularly welcomed, as are proposals which involve an element of co-creation with students.
We have suggested some familiar session formats that proposers may wish to follow as well as some new ones. We are also open to proposers suggesting entirely new formats that we have not tried before but which make the most of delegates being together in-person.
Full details of session formats can be found on the Call for Proposals page of the conference website and the call closes on 9 January 2022. We warmly encourage you and your colleagues to consider submitting a proposal to the conference.
You can view information about the conference, including registration fees and discounts, on the conference page of our website. Additional information will be added over the next few weeks.
