Digital Transformation in SLAR are pleased to introduce the Digital Excellence Award for Blackboard Ultra for 2021/22.

The Award seeks to surface and share innovative practice in digital teaching excellence through high impact use of the Blackboard Ultra VLE enabling transformational digital practice on the VLE.

The Award gives students the opportunity to nominate exemplary Blackboard Ultra modules each semester and highlight what it is that makes these modules stand out.

The Award has two key areas of focus:

  1. Design – the winning Blackboard Ultra module will be chosen for its excellent pedagogically-driven use of the Blackboard Ultra VLE and integrated digital solutions.
  2. Engagement of Learners – the winning Blackboard Ultra module will be chosen based on student engagement/interaction with the online space as well as the high standard of support offered to students and the learning experiences.

The award criteria for nomination will be made available to all students across Teesside University studying a campus-based course to nominate modules designed and created on Blackboard Ultra in semester 1 for an award.

Semester 1 award scheme will open for nomination in mid-January to early February. A repeat of the scheme will be available to capture winning semester 2 modules designed on Bb Ultra.
