Did you know you can create knowledge check quizzes using Microsoft Forms?
Knowledge check quizzes can be a great way to keep track of how well your students are retaining the information you are teaching them. This is important when teaching online, as you are then able to offer extra support to the students that need it.
Creating a form is quick and easy, and more information on this can be found by visiting the Quick Toolkit Tips on LTE Online: https://blogs.tees.ac.uk/lteonline/2019/11/01/quick-tips-forms/
Where do I start?
There are 7 basic question types, but if you are new to Forms, just stick to the basics! Try creating a multiple choice quiz, so that you can monitor the results and avoid any confusion. This can give you an idea of subjects or topics that your students are struggling with.
How do I share this with my students?
Use the Share button in the top right and then copy the link to post it in your Blackboard module, or you can embed the form directly into your module using the Embed option. This means that the students can access the quiz directly from their Blackboard space, rather than opening a link elsewhere.
How do I access the results of my quiz?
To access the responses to your quiz/form, you simply click on the ‘Responses’ tab within the form space. Here you can see the amount of responses, the answers and also the average time taken to complete the quiz. You are also able to view the responses in an Excel document.
If you need any support with this, there are drop-in sessions available which can be found on LTE Online: https://blogs.tees.ac.uk/lteonline/events/ or you can email elearning@tees.ac.uk.
