This March’s Learning and Teaching Journal Club will look at teaching methods in the classroom for a particularly thorny topic – pharmacology. Should we flip and lecture, or should interactive problem solving be the way forward?

Matthew Van Loo is presenting the paper. If you have ever wondered why the students find pharmacology challenging to learn (or any other core topic to your subject area), then this could be the session for you. The group will discuss Gill et al (2019) Best practices for teaching pharmacology to undergraduate nursing students: A systematic review of the literature. Nurse Education Today, 74, 15 – 24. Have a read of the paper here, and then come along and discuss

Date – Thursday 14th March
Time – 4 – 5pm
Venue – H0.49 (Centuria)

See you there – bring a friend. Bring a refreshment – it’ll be fun.
