Emma Bradburn

A member of the Digital Transformation team supporting staff with digital learning and teaching. Since 2018 involved in facilitating Future Facing Learning through the delivery of the Digital Development Programme and StREAM learner analytics training to all academic staff. Currently supporting the institutional VLE and the use of Microsoft and Adobe apps for teaching.

Emma joined the University in 2000 having previously studied an undergraduate Psychology degree and a Masters degree in Multimedia at Teesside University. She has worked in eLearning since graduating starting out at Redcar and Cleveland College developing electronic assessment packages. Previously having also worked within the Business school for the NECC programme.

Emma completed a PhD with the school of Computing in 2014. This research was in the area of learning and teaching, learning technologies and inclusion. The thesis is titled ‘A framework to support the integration of accessibility requirements into online learning designs’.

Emma has a continuing interest in inclusion and is supporting the development and integration of inclusivity recommendations for learning and teaching at Teesside. This includes the development of guidelines on inclusive practice.
