This session will focus on the University’s Personal Tutoring Code of Practice; we will discuss its aims and rationale and the key principles that form the basic underpinning of the Code. This session is relevant to all new academic colleagues who are Personal Tutors within their Schools and may also be relevant to other academic and support staff who wish to find out more about Personal Tutoring at Teesside University.
This workshop provides an interactive, open, and supportive environment for colleagues to engage with and reflect on different models for effective formative assessment processes whilst critically considering innovative sector best practice. Staff will be guided to consider the key considerations for designing in low-stakes formative assessment strategies as an integral feature of effective teaching practices, supporting and enhancing student motivation, engagement, and higher levels of achievement.
The online Research Pedagogic Practice series aims to shine a light on key aspects of pedagogy and the scholarship of teaching and learning, breaking down what the key aspects of pedagogy are and how these can be realised in current practice, whether that be online delivery, face to face delivery, or a mixture of both.
