Our diverse study abroad programmes provide an incredible opportunity for students to immerse themselves in new cultures, enhance their academic knowledge and broaden their global perspectives. Below, a few of our students share their enriching experiences from destinations like Italy, Brazil and France, reflecting on how these trips have shaped their academic journeys.

Jessica Preye, an international management master’s student, described her time at Rome Business School as “challenging, enriching and transformative.” The week-long bootcamp in Italy was more than just an academic experience, it was a cultural immersion. Jessica highlights how her time abroad exposed her to the unique ways in which cultural nuances influence business practices, particularly in operations management.
Bridget Afowa Arhin, also studying international management, found her time in
Rome to be “enriching, rewarding and unforgettable.” For Bridget, studying abroad was about embracing diversity and cultural fluency. Rome’s rich history and dynamic business environment gave her the opportunity to learn and grow, both academically and personally.

Adam Todd and Temitope Obajinmi spent their summer in Brazil. Adam, a project management student, described his time abroad as “engaging, varied and exciting,” emphasising how the open and friendly nature of the locals enhanced his experience.
Temitope studies international management with a focus on human resources. She advised future students to keep an open mind when studying abroad in Brazil, saying “the language might be challenging, but it will be fun and inspiring at the end.” She felt it was important to embrace the learning curve that comes with immersing yourself in a new culture and environment.
