Student Journey Advisor, Emma, has provided some top tips on how to get the most from your Induction Week at Teesside Univeristy. Your journey at the University starts at your Induction and is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn more about your course and settle into university life.

Tip 1: Access your induction timetable

Before you arrive, we encourage you to view your induction timetable on your Information Hub. The Information Hub is a great resource with useful information to help you settle into university life. If you have any questions about your induction, please contact your School Admin, their details are on your School Information Hub Welcome page.

Induction timetables for new students will be available from 2 September and teaching timetables from 9 September.

We have also put together our Campus Map which will help you navigate campus and help you find your way around. If you are unsure just pop into the Student Life Building and someone will be able to help.

Tip 2: Your induction

Support your transition to University by attending your course induction which will help you understand what is expected of you and how you will study, it’s also a great opportunity to meet other people on your course.

You will be able to meet your course team who will provide you with useful information about your course. Plus, you can ask them any questions you may have.

You will meet your Personal Tutor who will support you as you begin your journey here at Teesside and as you progress. They will help provide pastoral support, help you understand feedback, and support your career goals.
