IT’S getting to that time of year in the footballing calendar where things start to get a little tense!
The championship table is too close to call. With only three points separating 1st and 4th place it may go to the last weekend to decide who gets the automatic promotion spots.
Boro fans can already be happy with a top six place guaranteed, but they will not wish for the roller-coaster of emotions that comes with the play-offs.
A top two place should have been already cemented, but after a few disappointing results away from home their dreams of an automatic spot started to fade away.
Their hopes of automatic promotion are still not out of sight though, as their last two fixtures are very winnable games against Ex Premier League Fulham and Brighton.
But do they have what it takes to gain promotion back to the big time after six miserable years away?
They have one of the brightest young managers in Aitor Karanka, they have the goal machine that is Patrick Bamford leading the line and they also have some of the best support in the league!
Aitor Karanka said: “We have to manage the pressure – the promotion race will go to the last game of the season.”
Tside reporter, Mark Riding, spoke to Boro fans to get their opinion’s on the team’s final push.
So let’s get behind the lads and support them in their final couple of games!
