Joseph and his father James

The Teesside Unleashed Comi-Con opened its doors for the fifth time at the Marton Country Club and Hotel.

Special guest of the event was Jeremy Bulloch who played the villain Boba Fett in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi in 1983.

Dozens of stalls with trading cards, comic books, autographs and action figures were set up to offer everything geeks desire.

The event even featured a full-size Jabba the Hutt figure and a Princess Leia cosplayer to give fans the chance to become part of the Star Wars Universe.

Also professional costumers from crews such as Rebel Legion UK, 501st Legion, Reel Icons, ARC, Universal Alliance showcased their costumes.

Together with his Dad, 8-year old Joseph attended the event and entered the convention’s fancy dress contest, for a chance to win a prize.

Tside reporter Daniel Vinzens went with Joseph and his father and found a story about heroes and friendship that George Lucas couldn´t tell better.
