Two pieces of this year’s Final Dance Projects have been invited by Olga Maloney, Artistic Director of the Billingham International Folklore Festival, to perform at the evening of World Dance in the Town Hall in Middleborough on 11th August. Tickets are available here and the evening starts at 7.30.
The festival has its 50th anniversary and is a great event where dancers from all over the world come to Bilingham to present their performances, give workshops and meet dancers coming from South Korea to Mexico. We are thrilled to be part of this fantastic event.

Huey Teng third year BA Dance student performed a stunning multimedia performance as part of her final project. She collaborated with a student from Computer Animation who developed her dance as an animated visual dance which was projected on the stage. A beautiful and original set design!
The performance was so successful that Huey has also been invited to perform her piece at this year’s Billingham International Folklore Festival.
Students of the BA Dance had a great time working with Phoenix Dance Theatre! Students had the chance to experience one of their dancers Amanda Lewis in action and learned repertoire of this excting dance company. They enjoyed the truely interesting and challenging choreography by the Eurpopean choreographers, Ivgi & Greben.
