New lecturer Laura Erwin joins the dance team: Post from Perform@tees

Laura Erwin by R Cherry4Laura trained at Middlesex University, graduating with First Class Honours before gaining a Masters Degree at London Contemporary Dance School. 

She currently works as a Freelance Dance Artist based in London. Particular fields of interest include dance in education, gaga technique, somatic practices and contact improvisation. Recent performances include work with Rachel Burn (London, Surrey) and Delve Dance (Hull, Oxford, London, Sussex), of which she is also Artistic Director. Laura teaches extensively, working as a Visiting Lecturer at Middlesex and Kingston University, an Animateur for Richard Alston Dance Company, and delivering dance programme’s for primary schools. Laura also dabbles in Dance Management and has recently received funding from Arts Council England, Mayor of London, Legacy Trust and Southwark Council to facilitate a community dance platforms in East London. She is delighted to be joining the faculty at Teesside at this time.
