It\u2019s a great way to get a feel for a place and the people \u2013 it will be your home for a few years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Getting here <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For sat-nav, use TS1 3QJ. Free parking is available in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tees.ac.uk\/docs\/docrepo\/about\/CampusMap.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Woodlands car park<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on campus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On the day head straight to <strong>The Digital Life Building<\/strong>\u00a0in the campus heart and collect your open day guide. This will detail what\u2019s going on throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chat to academics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be able to walk around our exhibition room with academics and student ambassadors on hand. This is your chance to pick their brains and ask them absolutely anything about university. Don\u2019t forget to grab a prospectus and some freebies such as pens, highlighters and lanyards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subject talk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can attend talks and presentations from our academics about the courses and subjects you\u2019re interested in. They last around 45 minutes and are a great way to hear more about a subject, what modules you study, how you are assessed and what career you could go into.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Campus tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take a look around the Library, Students\u2019 Union, CreatorLab, Student Life, the Gym and more. It\u2019s a great chance to tour the campus and see just how close everything is.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accommodation tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A student ambassador will take you to see either our en-suite accommodation (Woodlands Halls, King Edward\u2019s Square and Cornell Quarter) or accommodation with shared bathroom facilities (West Parkside Village, East Parkside Village and Parkside Hall). Here see how close to campus you are, and what it will be like living away from home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facilities tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Depending on your course you\u2019ll look around the facilities appropriate to your course. You can tour Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA), the Business School, nursing facilities, labs, journalism studios and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finance and student support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our finance advisers are available to give you advice and information on money matters. They can offer general advice and guidance including information on tuition fees, student loans, scholarships, funding and welfare benefits.<\/p>\n<p>The student support team can discuss a range of services including disability support, counselling, careers, care leaver support, faith and reflection and more.
