It is a chance to get a place on a course after the main UCAS application deadline has passed. If you\u2019re successful, you\u2019ll be able to start university this September.<\/p>\n<p>You might choose to go into Clearing for a number of reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You want to change your subject choice<\/li>\n<li>You decide to study closer to home or further away from home<\/li>\n<li>You didn\u2019t get the grade you were hoping for<\/li>\n<li>You got better grades than you were planning for<\/li>\n<li>You have only recently decided to apply<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>53,000 UK students entered clearing in 2022, the most in over 10 years. Our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VgrMzIqGUMw\">Clearing next steps video<\/a><\/strong><\/span> goes on to explain more information about your accommodation and finance after accepting your place through Clearing.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve found a place through Clearing, the next challenge is sorting out your university accommodation. At this point, you might not be able to get that ensuite bathroom you had your heart set on, but you should find something satisfactory. Shortly after you accept your place at Teesside University we\u2019ll invite you to apply for accommodation by email.
