If you\u2019re planning on coming along to an open day, here are some top tips to help you prepare:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Research your chosen course(s)<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Check out our website and have a look at the courses you\u2019re interested in. Dig into the course content, what grades you need and how you\u2019re assessed. See if it\u2019s what you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Organise travel<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>How are you going to get here? If you\u2019re coming from outside the area, you might want to travel to Middlesbrough train station. If you\u2019re driving, there is free parking available on-campus, or a park-and-ride service depending on what day you\u2019re coming.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><strong>Prepare some questions<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You\u2019ll probably have some questions for our academics, student life team, accommodation or student finance. You should think about these before you arrive on the day. Here are some examples:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What does the course cover?<\/li>\n<li>How will I learn?<\/li>\n<li>What are the facilities like?<\/li>\n<li>What opportunities are there for practical experience?<\/li>\n<li>Are there any placements?<\/li>\n<li>What scholarships and bursaries are available?<\/li>\n<li>What academic and personal support is available?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><strong>Plan your day<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>See what talks and tours are available and choose which ones you want to attend.<\/p>\n<p>You also might want to think about what you\u2019re going to do with the rest of your day while you\u2019re here. You could have a wander into the town and check out the new entertainment venue Level X.
