We hold on-campus open days throughout the year for anyone thinking of coming to university. It’s a great way to get a feel for a place and the people – it will be your home for a few years.
For sat-nav, use TS1 3QJ. Free parking is available in Woodlands car park on campus.
On the day head straight to the Curve (the big gold building) and collect your open day guide. This will detail what’s going on throughout the day.
Chat to academics
You’ll be able to walk around our exhibition room with academics and student ambassadors on hand. This is your chance to pick their brains and ask them absolutely anything about university. Don’t forget to grab a prospectus and some freebies such as pens, highlighters, and lanyards.
You can attend talks and presentations from our academics about the courses and subjects you’re interested in. They last around 45 minutes and are a great way to hear more about a subject, what modules you study, how you are assessed and what career you could go into.
Take a look around the Library, Students’ Union, CreatorLab, Student Life, the Gym and more. It’s a great chance to tour the campus and see just how close everything is.
A student ambassador will take you to see either our en-suite accommodation (Woodlands Halls, King Edward’s Square, Central Halls and Cornell Quarter) or accommodation with shared bathroom facilities (West Parkside Village, East Parkside Village and Parkside Hall). Here see how close to campus you are, and what it will be like living away from home.
Depending on your course you’ll look around the facilities appropriate to your course. You can tour Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA), the business school, nursing facilities, labs, journalism studios and more.
Finance and student support
Our finance advisers are available to give you advice and information on money matters. They can offer general advice and guidance including information on tuition fees, student loans, scholarships, funding and welfare benefits.
The student support team can discuss a range of services including disability support, counselling, careers, care leaver support, faith and reflection and more. We’re a close-knit community and pride ourselves on the accessibility and sensitivity of our support services.

Please note any Covid guidance will be emailed to you ahead of the open day.
We look forward to meeting you!
