Phoenix Dance Theatre giving workshops to Dance Students

PhoenixStudents of the BA Dance had a great time working with Phoenix Dance Theatre! Students had the chance to experience one of their dancers Amanda Lewis in action and learned repertoire of this excting dance company. They enjoyed the truely interesting and challenging choreography by the Eurpopean choreographers,  Ivgi & Greben.

International choreographers create work for BA Dance students

 

BA Dance students had a great time performing at their end of year performance during Creative Arts Teesside studentsweek. Choreographies from international choreographers Zubaidah Saebu, Jack Webb and James Wilton were part of the programme and an audience saw two energetic and varied shows!

 

Dance students present at 3 Rivers-Learning and Teaching Conference

Third year dance students Charlotte Brinksman and Gabriella Garroway presented a poster at the Annual Regional Learning and Teaching Conference 2014 North East 3 riversUniversities (3 Rivers Consortium), Durham University (Collingwood College) on 27th March 2014.

The poster discussed their experience of a 3 month Erasmus exchange at the Inter-University Centre in Berlin and was well received by delegates.

Erasmus Students in Berlin performing at Ada Studios- Students on Stage

As part of their Erasmus exchange stay in Berlin three dance students, Charlotte Brinskman, Gabriella Garroway, and Sophie Read, took part in SoS (Students on Stage) at the Ada Studio in Berlin, on May 18th & 19th. The SoS is a platform that allows the chance for students to stage their work. The piece “TCW Refined”  was a rework of a choreography that had been created at Teesside University in March.
