This guidance outlines three fundamental principles for thinking proactively about flexible assessment arrangements at course and module level, alongside a range of key considerations for practice.<\/p>\n<p>Set against the backdrop of flexible assessment, when considering potential alternative online arrangements for assessment it is important that we keep in mind that the overall aim remains facilitating and capturing student learning through equitable and appropriate methods, aligned to course learning outcomes. When seeking to make such alternative online assessment arrangements we need to ensure we are preparing them in a robust way to ensure the quality and equity of the assessment.<\/p>\n<p>To help support you in your preparations for the new academic year, we ask that you refer to new guidance outlining <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2020\/06\/ConsiderationsandResourcesforSupportingAlternativeAssessmentMethods_FINAL.pdf\">Considerations and Resources for Supporting Alternative Assessment Methods<\/a>.<\/span> The resource itself, whilst not an exhaustive list, provides detail of a range of alternative assessment methods alongside specific practice-level guidance.<\/p>\n<p>It is also important that any planned changes to assessment and feedback at course or module level should also be made with reference to the University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tees.ac.uk\/docs\/DocRepo\/Student%20Regulations\/Academic%20Regulations\/Assessment%20and%20Feedback%20Policy.pdf\">Assessment and Feedback
