You may have seen the recent article on the University website<\/a> about the success of the Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE) exams that were held during the Learning & Teaching Conference earlier this month when 27 staff successfully achieved MCE certification.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m pleased to share that Neal Harper\u2019s team in ITDS are facilitating another opportunity for staff to undertake not just the MCE exam but also any Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams.\u00a0 Again, we are able to offer this free of charge thanks to our partners \u2013 Prodigy Learning.\u00a0 This is a great opportunity for all staff to gain formal certification for their skills.<\/p>\n

Microsoft Certified Educator (MCE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"MicrosoftPrimarily aimed at academic members of staff, the certification is validation of your global technology competencies required to facilitate 21st<\/sup> century learning using Microsoft\u2019s \u201c21 CLD\u201d framework and professional tools.\u00a0 To prepare for the exam, I\u2019d encourage participants to review Microsoft\u2019s 21st<\/sup> Century Learning Design course<\/a> on their Education Community.\u00a0 Successful completion of the MCE professional qualification is an accolade and testament to how we prepare students to become future ready at Teesside.<\/p>\n

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"MicrosoftAimed at staff in all roles, MOS certification is for those looking to demonstrate proficiency in one or more Office programs.\u00a0 Successful completion of these professional qualifications is an accolade and testament to demonstrating industry-leading skills and knowledge to command the full features and functionality of Microsoft Office. \u00a0Exams are available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.\u00a0 Some additional information on MOS is available here from Microsoft<\/a>.<\/p>\n
