All New Adobe Edge Animate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Building dynamic content online has never been easier with the introduction of HTML5 and CSS3.\u00a0\u00a0 Today, these web standards power the modern day web applications and are supported on all modern browsers on desktop and mobile devices.\u00a0\u00a0 This is particularly an important feature, as the ability to access content anywhere and on any device is becoming a crucial factor in this technology driven community.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2012, the software giant Adobe Systems introduced a fleet of new web development tools called <i>Adobe Edge\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/html.adobe.com\/edge\" target=\"_blank\"><b>[1]<\/b><\/a><\/i>, based on the functionality of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery.\u00a0 Part of this line-up is a multimedia development application, <i>Adobe Edge Animate<\/i>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Although it is still in its early version (v 3.0), \u00a0<i>Adobe Edge Animate<\/i> has started to attract avid multimedia and web developers to design motion graphics, interactive and responsive content that would commonly be accessible on any platform or device.<\/p>\n<p>On a personal note,\u00a0\u00a0 <i>Adobe Edge Animate<\/i> seems to be a promising web development tool, as it allows developers to produce animation and interactive sequences fairly easily.\u00a0 It has successfully adopted some of the underlying concepts and features from <i>Adobe Flash<\/i> (i.e. the use of timeline, library and re-usable symbols), and has integrated web tools such as web fonts, responsive page design, CSS filters just to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #000000\">Rich Media Content for e-Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you have previous experience working with <i>Adobe Flash<\/i> then <i>Adobe Edge Animate<\/i> is definitely a handy tool to develop content for your e-Learning or distance learning modules.\u00a0\u00a0 It can be used for creating bespoke animation or interactive applications to help students\u2019 visualise concepts, scenarios, experiments or even the functionality of lab instruments.\u00a0\u00a0 The published final product can be integrated into an iFrame in VLE (i.e. Blackboard) as part of the teaching and learning material within the modules.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2014\/03\/screenShot001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2344\" alt=\"screenShot001\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2014\/03\/screenShot001.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2014\/03\/screenShot002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2346\" alt=\"screenShot002\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2014\/03\/screenShot002.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The sample above is a pilot version created using <i>Adobe Edge Animate<\/i> based on the content submitted by Andy Lindsay on learn.parallax.com<a href=\"http:\/\/learn.parallax.com\/node\/171\" target=\"_blank\">[2]<\/a>.\u00a0 It is an example how simple text and image based content can be translated into an interactive composition that would help engage and motivate student participation.\u00a0 As any pilot version, the sample could be developed further to achieve more complex animation or interaction.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #3467cb\"><strong
