They use Microsoft technologies and innovative teaching practices to enhance student engagement, creativity, and collaboration. They also share their expertise and insights with other educators through various platforms, such as local training events, conferences, blogs, social media, and more.<\/p>\n<div>Achieving Microsoft Elevate Educator Expert status can support professional recognition, including Fellowship of Advance HE, evidencing commitment to personal development and professional updating.<\/div>\n<p>Becoming an Microsoft Elevate Educator Expert offers numerous benefits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Professional Growth<\/strong>: Access exclusive training, development resources, and opportunities to showcase your work at conferences and events.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Global Community<\/strong>: Join a network of like-minded educators, sharing insights, best practices, and innovative ideas to create positive change in education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>How to Apply (the basics&#8230;)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For staff totally new to these programmes, here are some useful notes\u00a0outlining how to apply.<\/p>\n<p>To join for the first time or renew, educators need to create accounts in the following <strong>two<\/strong> <strong>locations<\/strong> and the <strong>display\/profile names need to be identical<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-gb\/\">Microsoft Learn<\/a> is a training platform<br \/>\n2. <a href=\"https:\/\/elevateforeducators.microsoft.com\/\">Microsoft Elevate<\/a> is the community platform<\/p>\n<p>Before TU staff can apply for the <strong>Microsoft Elevate Educator Expert<\/strong>\u00a0they must first complete the <strong>Microsoft Elevate Educator Explorer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div>The Explorer programme is open to applicants throughout the year<\/div>\n<p>To apply for the Explorer programme staff need to&#8230;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create accounts\/profiles: Microsoft Learn &amp; Microsoft Elevate<\/li>\n<li>Complete at least one Explorer learning pathways <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/training\/paths\/elevate-educator-explorer-general\/\">Elevate Educator &#8211; Explorer (General)<\/a> OR\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/training\/paths\/elevate-educator-explorer-ai\/\">Elevate Educator \u2013 Explorer (AI)<\/a> (Completing both is recommended)<\/li>\n<li>Submit your Explorer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/elevateforeducators.microsoft.com\/signin\">application<\/a> (Complete Explorer survey &amp; link your Microsoft Learn profile)<\/li>\n<li>Become an Explorer &#8211; Receive badge &#8211; Join the community<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/?attachment_id=17398\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-17398\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17398 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2026\/06\/Badges.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"502\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2026\/06\/Badges.jpg 502w, https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2026\/06\/Badges-300x123.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 502px) 100vw, 502px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once staff have achieved the <strong>Explorer<\/strong> status, and\/or are returning MIEEs wanting to renew can apply for the <strong>Expert<\/strong> programme which requires them to complete an additional series of courses in Microsoft Learn and complete a survey in Microsoft Elevate.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Complete the following Microsoft Learn training pathways\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/training\/paths\/elevate-educator-expert-general\/\">Elevate Educator &#8211; Expert (General)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/training\/paths\/elevate-educator-expert-ai\/\">Elevate Educator &#8211; Expert (AI)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once the required pathways are complete, complete your <strong>Expert<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/elevateforeducators.microsoft.com\/signin\">application<\/a>*<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once these two pathways are complete, please login to the Microsoft Elevate for Educators community landing page and submit your application.
