Join us for the Teesside National Teaching Fellow (NTF) and Collaborate Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) Roadshow \u2013 Book now, Wednesday October 1st<\/sup>, 11:00am – 12:30pm on MS Teams<\/p>\n

Teesside University has enjoyed considerable success with regards to the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) and Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) over recent years.<\/p>\n

This year saw\u00a0Rosie Jones\u00a0<\/a>(Director of Student and Library Services) recognised as a 2025 National Teaching Fellow.<\/p>\n

In addition, the University\u2019s Law Employability Innovation Team (LEIT)<\/a> receives a 2025 Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE), which recognises collaborative work which has had a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS)<\/a>\u00a0recognises, rewards, and celebrates individuals who have made an outstanding impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE)<\/a>\u00a0recognises and celebrates collaborative work that has had a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning.\u00a0 Each award will recognise a team which has enabled a change in practice for colleagues and\/or students at an institutional or discipline level.<\/p>\n

Advance HE have launched the 2025 NTF and CATE scheme<\/strong>. The University is seeking to provide tailored support and mentorship for TU colleagues in the academic disciplines, as well as central departments, wishing to develop portfolios of work that might be considered for future NTFS and CATE schemes.<\/p>\n

Student Learning and Academic Registry (SLAR) will be running an NTFS and CATE Roadshow where TU staff interested in learning more about either scheme can hear from and engage with current TU NTF and CATE award holders who will be sharing their experiences of developing individual and collaborative claims for excellence.<\/p>\n
