While some modules may take a little time to appear, most will be available by Tuesday next week (12.08.25).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"679\">This blog outlines everything you need to know to get started, including key updates, helpful reminders, and new tools to support your module setup.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"681\" data-end=\"684\" \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"714\"><\/h5>\n<h5 data-start=\"686\" data-end=\"714\">Where Are My New Modules?<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"716\" data-end=\"785\">We\u2019re creating the following types of Blackboard modules for 2025\/26:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"849\"><strong data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"818\">Standard teaching modules<\/strong> based on the latest SITS data.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"1023\"><strong data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"871\">Support modules<\/strong>, where a 2024\/25 version was in use with enrolled students. These have been rolled forward with updated cohort data and module names where appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1214\">All modules are built from your school\u2019s official Blackboard template, which colleagues have updated for the new academic year. Please don\u2019t overwrite this with content from previous years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1332\"><em>If you\u2019re missing a module, your <strong data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1270\">School Admin Team<\/strong> can help, either through SITS or the Support Module Website.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr data-start=\"1334\" data-end=\"1337\" \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1359\"><\/h5>\n<h5 data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1359\">Where Do I Start?<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"1361\" data-end=\"1568\">At the top of every Blackboard module, you\u2019ll find a section titled <em data-start=\"1429\" data-end=\"1476\">Staff: Getting Started with your Ultra Module<\/em> (or similar). This outlines all the key actions needed to prepare your module for students.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1570\" data-end=\"1573\" \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"1575\" data-end=\"1611\"><\/h5>\n<h5 data-start=\"1575\" data-end=\"1611\">What About Outside of Blackboard?<\/h5>\n<p>Yes,<strong> Reading Lists.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every module contains a Reading List link which enables students to view the latest reading list in Reading Lists Online (RLO).<\/p>\n<p>There are two essential actions needed to get your Reading List up and running.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Login to <em>Reading Lists Online<\/em> <a href=\"http:\/\/readinglists.tees.ac.uk\/\">http:\/\/readinglists.tees.ac.uk<\/a> to check the list details and contents for each module. Amend, add or remove any items as necessary.<\/p>\n<p>When adding items to lists, please make use of <a href=\"https:\/\/tees.primo.exlibrisgroup.com\/discovery\/search?vid=44TEE_INST:44TEE_INST\">Discovery<\/a> to identify relevant materials held in the Library\u2019s extensive collection of book titles, electronic journal titles and articles, rather than requesting new resources. To support the blended model of delivery you should prioritise online resources rather than print resources as far as possible.<\/p>\n<p>More information about online resources:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.tees.ac.uk\/RLO\/onlineresources\">libguides.tees.ac.uk\/RLO\/onlineresources<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Publish the list if you have made changes to it <em>OR<\/em> <strong>Request Review<\/strong> by the Library Team (found under <strong>Edit<\/strong> menu) even if no changes have been made.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2244\" data-end=\"2247\" \/>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2287\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">New or Updated Features for 2025\/26<\/span><\/h4>\n<hr data-start=\"2244\" data-end=\"2247\" \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2310\"><\/h5>\n<h5 data-start=\"2289\" data-end=\"2310\">Unused Files Tool<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"2312\" data-end=\"2432\">All Blackboard modules have a 1GB content limit for uploaded files. This doesn\u2019t include <a href=\"https:\/\/eatsupport.tees.ac.uk\/staff\/knowledgebase\/getting-started-with-review-in-ultra\/\">video content added via ReView<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2434\" data-end=\"2644\">However, when a content item like a PowerPoint is deleted from your module, the actual file may still remain in the background and continue to take up space. The <strong data-start=\"2600\" data-end=\"2616\">Unused Files<\/strong> tool helps you easily identify these files and manage this situation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2646\" data-end=\"2659\">To access it:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2664\" data-end=\"2750\">1. Click the <strong data-start=\"2674\" data-end=\"2688\">three dots<\/strong> (top-right of your module homepage, under <em data-start=\"2731\" data-end=\"2748\">Student Preview<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2754\" data-end=\"2778\">2. From there, select the required files to delete that are no longer in use.
