Improvements to creating assignments.<\/h5>\n<p>Several updates have been made to Assignments created in Blackboard, these updates aim to enhance the process of creating and managing assignments, ensuring a smoother experience for both instructors and students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Improvements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. This issue will be addressed in a future release.<\/li>\n<li><u>No changes<\/u> have been made to the creating tests, module leaders can access all the same question types and settings options with attempts still automatically being created when students view the test questions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: right\"><a href=\"#Top\">Back to Top<\/a><\/p>\n<h5><a id=\"Section02\"><\/a>2. Anonymous student responses for Forms.<\/h5>\n<p>The ability for students to submit anonymous responses in forms encourages honest and sincere feedback. This anonymity can lead to more genuine responses, higher participation rates, and better-quality results.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Features<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Anonymous Submissions Option: <\/strong>The new \u2018<strong>Anonymous submissions<\/strong>\u2019 option is available in the <strong>Marking &amp; Submissions<\/strong> section of Form Settings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/?attachment_id=15969\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-15969\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15969\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2024\/07\/Image05-3.jpg\" alt=\"Image showing the anonymous submissions option\" width=\"770\" height=\"464\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2024\/07\/Image05-3.jpg 770w, https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2024\/07\/Image05-3-300x181.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2024\/07\/Image05-3-768x463.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 770px) 100vw, 770px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<em>Anonymous submissions option.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Default settings for anonymous submissions when the Form is configured to be graded.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When both the <strong>Grade Form<\/strong> and <strong>Anonymous submissions<\/strong> options are selected, the following settings are enabled by default:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Due date<\/li>\n<li>Prohibit late submissions.<\/li>\n<li>Prohibit new attempts after the due date.<\/li>\n<li>Complete\/incomplete grading schema for non-graded forms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Details:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Please be aware of the following when considering the use of anonymous forms.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anonymous forms cannot be administered to groups.<\/li>\n<li>Class conversations are not supported.<\/li>\n<li>Student activity, exceptions, exemptions, and accommodations are not tracked to ensure anonymity.<\/li>\n<li>Student progress\/statistics are not captured.<\/li>\n<li>Modifications to form questions and settings are not permitted once submissions are made and the due date has passed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Gradebook Integration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Before the due date, &#8220;Anonymous&#8221; appears in each student\u2019s cell in the Gradebook.
