In this pursuit, we are excited to introduce a valuable resource from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) &#8211; &#8220;Reconsidering Assessment for the ChatGPT Era: QAA Advice on Developing Sustainable Assessment Strategies.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Navigating the ChatGPT Era<\/strong>: The QAA\u2019s expert advice in this downloadable article offers valuable insights for both higher and further education providers. Building upon their earlier advice from May 2023 on the opportunities and challenges presented by Generative Artificial Intelligence, this resource focuses on the assessment strategies that mitigate risks to academic integrity arising from the increased use of AI tools, particularly in text generation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Universal Approach<\/strong>: Although the spotlight is on Generative Artificial Intelligence software that outputs text, the principles discussed in this article are applicable to a wide range of AI tools. From generating mathematical formulae and computer code to images and other artefacts, the guidance can be extended to various academic disciplines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aligning with Assessment and Feedback Policy<\/strong>: At Teesside University, we believe in aligning our practices with the latest guidelines and best practices.
