This capability allows instructors to upload the file directly into a test, greatly improving the test creation process. Each question file should be in tab-delimited TXT format.\u00a0 The file should include no more than 250 records to avoid time-out restrictions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*NOTE<\/strong> For detailed instructions on formatting requirements, please refer to the dedicated <a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Ultra\/Tests_Pools_Surveys\/Reuse_Questions\/Upload_Questions\">Help page<\/a> on the Anthology support platform for Blackboard Ultra.<\/p>\n<p>Once uploaded, module leaders can edit and use these questions like any other test-created question. Using this approach saves instructors valuable time and effort, facilitating a more streamlined assessment process.<\/p>\n<p>Support for uploading questions from the file is available for the following question types:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Multiple choice \/ multiple answers<\/li>\n<li>True \/ False<\/li>\n<li>Essay<\/li>\n<li>Fill in the Blank<\/li>\n<li>Fill in Multiple Blanks<\/li>\n<li>Numeric response<\/li>\n<li>Matching<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To upload a test file, the questions in the text file must conform to the guidelines in the following table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*HINT<\/strong> <em>Questions that contain an error will fail to upload. Questions without errors will upload successfully.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>File format guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each file that contains questions to be uploaded must conform to these guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each file must be a tab-delimited TXT file. You can edit this file in Microsoft\u00a0Excel\u00a0or in a text editor.<\/li>\n<li>It is recommended that each file not exceed 250 records.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t include a header row in the file.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t include blank lines between records. For more information relating to Course Links and <a href=\"https:\/\/eatsupport.tees.ac.uk\/staff\/knowledgebase\/course-links-in-bbu\/\">how to configure them please see the following article.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Course Links have been updated including:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha\">\n<li>Course links now include <strong>Folders<\/strong> and <strong>Learning Modules.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Introduction of new link iconography.<\/li>\n<li>Error messages when trying to copy\/move links into locations that are not permitted.<\/li>\n<li>When searching for items to create links to, a preview also reveals the contents of the course link.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>a.<\/strong> Course Links now include folders and\/or learning modules from the <strong>Category<\/strong> section of <strong>Search Criteria<\/strong>. These exceptions can include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing additional attempts.<\/li>\n<li>Rescheduling due dates.<\/li>\n<li>Granting extended access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Previously<\/strong>, exceptions were only accessible from the submissions page for an assessment. \u00a0<strong>Following the update<\/strong>, module leaders can access the exceptions workflow from the <strong>Gradebook<\/strong> grid view and <strong>Student Overview<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n<p>The following enhancements have been added:<\/p>\n<p>a. Add exemptions for anonymous assessment.<\/p>\n<p>b. Add exemptions via<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">i. Gradebook<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">ii. Student Overview.<\/p>\n<p>c. Support for anonymous test grading.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>a. Anonymous Assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Anonymous grading helps to reduce grading bias. This update introduced a way for module leaders to set exemptions for anonymously graded assessments.
