{"id":13228,"date":"2022-12-12T12:00:10","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T12:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/?p=13228"},"modified":"2023-01-20T15:36:50","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T15:36:50","slug":"student-success-through-partnership-conference-and-expo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/2022\/12\/12\/student-success-through-partnership-conference-and-expo\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Success Through Partnership: A Student Learning Conference and Expo &#8211; Call for Proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Student Learning is hosting its first ever student conference and expo on <strong>Wednesday 1 March 2023<\/strong>, as part of SLAR\u2019s LTExChange Symposium season.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The theme of the event is \u2018Student Success Through Partnership\u2019 with partnership being explored under three key areas:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">staff\/student partnership working<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">collaboration through industry\/professional experience<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">the student voice: a positive vessel for change<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Our aim is that the event will contribute to the nurturing and enhancement of graduate attributes through learning and research and will help to cultivate a sense of belonging at Teesside through partnership and engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">We look to highlight the correlation between success and partnership, and to inspire students via shining a spotlight on current partnership projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The event will consist of four key parts:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">An opening keynote speech<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">An exhibition of current student partnership projects, with awards voted for by a collection of Teesside University stakeholders and students.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A series of student voice \u2018campfire\u2019 discussion hubs on some of higher education\u2019s current \u2018wicked problems\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A panel talk and Q&amp;A around embodying the values of partnership though University and beyond<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>Call for Proposals (Now Open) <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">We invite Teesside University colleagues to nominate any innovative and dynamic student partnership projects they may be involved with, for inclusion in the expo. We ask for a short statement encompassing the project brief and how the student wishes to display their work (poster \/ live demonstration \/ video \/ stand).
