{"id":12307,"date":"2022-03-04T10:18:43","date_gmt":"2022-03-04T10:18:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/?p=12307"},"modified":"2022-03-04T10:18:43","modified_gmt":"2022-03-04T10:18:43","slug":"ukatprofregscheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/2022\/03\/04\/ukatprofregscheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Individual Recognition in Personal Tutoring through UKAT\u2019s Professional Recognition Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-10088 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.tees.ac.uk\/lteonline\/files\/2020\/10\/UKAT.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"143\" height=\"96\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SLAR are currently supporting a number of colleagues to progress applications through the UK Advising and Tutoring (UKAT) Professional Recognition Scheme; further details about the Scheme are provided below.<\/p>\n<p>Following successes last Autumn, where four of our colleagues were awarded Recognised Practitioner in Advising, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that we have had two further successes &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Carole Schubert (School of Health and Life Sciences) has achieved Recognised Senior Advisor (RSA) and Dr Helen Tidy (School of Health and Life Sciences) has achieved Recognised Leader in Advising (RLA).<\/p>\n<p>This is a huge achievement for Carole and Helen and rightly recognises all the excellent work they do around Personal Tutoring\/Academic Advising both across the Institution and beyond.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Many congratulations, well done!<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the UKAT Professional Recognition Scheme is to give greater recognition to tutors and advisors, and the contribution that personal tutoring\/academic advising make to student persistence and success. The scheme is akin to the Advance HE HEA Fellowship scheme but focused exclusively on personal tutoring and academic advising.
