Due to the ongoing uncertainty, students are spending a lot of time behind their screens and online, which can have detrimental effects on their emotional and mental wellbeing. Whilst the online world can help students to feel connected to others, it can also be isolating and lonely.  

There are some very important considerations to take into account when supporting the emotional wellbeing of hybrid learning students. 

The ongoing implementation of hybrid learning has given rise to enormous challenges. It has made supporting students’ emotional wellbeing even more important than ever, to overcome social isolation, anxieties around assessment and many other potential stress factors. So, how do you support hybrid learning students from an emotional and wellbeing point of view?  

The following videos provide a perspective from students on how to balance screen time, as well as how to make the most of online lectures and classes.  

Don’t forget that looking after yourself is also very important, as is your own well-being. So make sure you have plenty of breaks and don’t be afraid to ask for help and/or make the referrals to the appropriate professional services where necessary:
