It focuses on key life processes, including biotic interactions, reproduction, adaptations, and responses to stimuli, highlighting the strategies each organism uses to obtain resources, avoid threats and maintain homeostasis. By comparing a unicellular freshwater protist with a multicellular terrestrial mammal, the site demonstrates how shared biological principles operate across vastly different levels of organisation, offering insight into the links between structure, function and ecology.
