PGCE Secondary Computing – Research Flashcards

These digital research flashcards were produced with you, the trainee, in mind. Following feedback from our previous Computing PGCE students, when they were completing their assignments for Subject Specialist Pedagogy and Developing / Enhancing Teaching and Learning modules, some found that getting a firm foothold in finding and using research was difficult and time consuming. These cards have been designed to help start that research journey.

Each card has the name of an author, a summary of their most important or influential work and direct links to the article or book in the TU Library Site. Currently available categories are:

The last category is slightly different and shows how more classical pedagogical authors’ work is represented in a modern computing context. Two more categories will be added later this year, namely Unplugged Computing and Physical Computing.

The idea is that if you wish to use these as an initial step, you should then be able to locate and use related sources in your work. If you have any questions or queries, please feel free to email me.
