Welcome and congratulations on securing an interview for a place on a Teesside University Initial Teacher Training course. The three routes are represented here.
- If you have applied for PGCE Primary, all of your tasks are available in a single location. Simply navigate to ‘Applicants’ in the banner at the top of the page and click ‘PGCE Primary ‘ in the banner to be directed to your documents. The Word document ‘2026-27 PRIMARY PGCE Interview Process Tasks’ contains complete instructions. The data task will require the use of the ‘Primary Data Set’ Excel spreadsheet.
- If you have applied for PGCE Secondary, navigate to ‘PGCE Secondary’ under the ‘Applicants’ menu, and you will be directed to your documents (‘2026-27 SECONDARY PGCE Interview Process Tasks’ and ‘TUITT Interview Data Task Set Secondary’) along with instructions on how to complete and return your tasks. You will also find instructions on choosing a topic for your lesson plan presentation and a suggested lesson plan format for you to use if you want to.
- If you have applied for a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, your interview will be conducted face-to-face on campus. You will need to complete three tasks before this interview. Information on the tasks and the documents to download can be found in ‘BA (Hons) Primary Education’ under the ‘Applicants’ menu.
