Welcome to this Teesside University Initial Teacher Training support site. It is designed to support our applicants, mentors and trainees.
Applicants
As one of our PGCE Primary or Secondary applicants, this is where you will find information and tasks to complete as part of the interview process.
As an applicant to our BA(Hons) Primary Education course, you will find information pertaining to your interview day to help you prepare as thoroughly as possible.
Mentors
For our school-based mentors, this site will provide a backup for all essential mentoring paperwork and information. This does not replace the Teams site which is still the primary source of the most up-to-date training and mentoring information, but in the event of connectivity issues, all course documentation and observation paperwork is accessible here.
Trainees
For our PGCE trainees, congratulations for securing your place! this site will contain your pre-course induction materials to prepare you for your induction in September and as the year progresses, subject-specific research content designed to supplement what you learn in lectures and seminars and support your academic endeavours. This research section is currently being designed, and you will be advised as each section is rolled out.
At the moment the site is being expanded and developed and we will be adding new content on a regular basis so please check back frequently to see what’s new.
