Welcome to our website

We have chosen these two specific species to compare because, whilst on the surface they seem like they couldn’t be more different to each other, underneath they share a surprising number of similarities in the way that they reproduce, respire and adapt to their respective environmentsAmerican Crocodile — Jamaican Petrel

Both species are some of the largest of their kind – the American Crocodile (Crocodylus acutus) is one of the largest reptiles on the planet, whilst the English Oak tree (Quercus robur) and more specifically the Major Oak, is one of the largest of its kind in the world.

Both of these species have been through millions of years of adaptations to make them what they are today, and both were as equally intriguing to look into to find their differences, but also their similarities. We hope you share the same level of interest when reading this as we had whilst researching them.
