It’s incredibly exciting to see this beautifully curated exhibition of Louise Bourgeois’ work, here at MIMA in Middlesbrough. Bourgeois’ work offers inspiration and provocation for any creative writer. And as Bourgeois wrote so much about her own creative process and the way that she drew on emotions and life experience in her work, there is so much here for a writer to mine. Entry to the exhibition is completely free.
“An artist can show things that other people are terrified of expressing.”
