(all of the following pictures are from screenshots of the film)
At the beginning of the film, the characters summon the Bunshinsaba, and a God’s eye shot revolves around the hands on the table, heralding a series of terrible things to begin here.
The light turned red, a close-up shot of hands, there is an extra hand on the table. Then there is a close-up of the character’s face, the camera moves from left to right and then moves back to the left, and a scary face appears behind the character. This method of guiding the audience through the movement of the lens and making the audience feel terrible appears in the film many times.
A high angle lens, and as the character approaches, the higher the angle of the lens, which means that the character is gradually moving into danger.
A medium shot is the back of the character, and the camera is gradually approaching the character and moving slowly down. The shadow of one hand appeared on the character, and then the other hand grabbed the character’s ankle.
In the close-up of the hand, the character feels a little strange about the bag. When she opens the bag, it is a low-angle lens, and the character’s face is surrounded by a black bag, which indicates that the character will be trapped and unable to escape. Then there was a ghost in the bag who grabbed the character’s foot and made it impossible for her to move. Then there was a close-up of the character’s face, and she was very frightened, and the light on her face became strong and hot.Because she’ll be killed by an oncoming vehicle.
In this paragraph, the camera switches between the girl in bed and the mother next to it.A close-up of the daughter’s eyes, her eyes become the eyes of a ghost. When the mother looked at the mirror, the daughter’s eyes in the mirror were normal but immediately turned into ghost eyes. When she turned to her daughter again, her eyes were normal. Then there was a close-up of her face on the left side of the camera, and there was an extra body behind her.The focus of the camera is on the daughter in the mirror, who does the same thing as the ghost in front of her.Mother was very frightened, a very high angle of the camera is mother’s face next to two ghosts are approaching.A close-up of an eye is that mother’s two eyes are strongly separated and she has been manipulated by ghosts.
In this part, the audience and the role of mother feel nervous and scared through the mirror. The light is not strong in the room, but it is strong in the character and has a clear shadow. And the character’s clothes are black and white, making the light look stronger.
This is a wide shot, the character in the center of the lens back to the camera. She was in the crack of the door, and the light shone out of it.This means that the character’s life is oppressed and that she can’t escape from a bad life.
A wide shot in which the camera moves from the right to the left in front of the character, then the camera moves from the right to the left again behind the character, and then the camera comes to the front of the character again.A close-up of the character’s face, she turned her head back, the camera moved upward and slowly focused on the statue behind the character, and there was no ghost as expected. However, when the character looked back, a ghost suddenly appeared in the opposite chair, and the red light next to it began to twinkle. This scared the audience, first let the audience think that ghosts will appear behind the character, when the audience relaxed their vigilance, the ghost suddenly appeared in front of the character. And the red light is very similar to the first ghost at the beginning.
The red lights keep flashing and a series of close-up lenses.A close-up of the hand, the character found an extra pair of hands, the next second she was clasped by her neck by those hands. Then there was a close-up of the character’s face, and she was so scared that she wanted to break free, and she looked up.The camera switches between the close-up of the ghost’s face and the close-up of the character’s foot, and the lens of the character’s foot is a Dutch tilt lens, which indicates that the character is very flustered. The following close-up is the face of a ghost from the perspective of the character, an inverted face and a very scary expression. It added to the horror atmosphere of the film.
A high angle lens is that many people in the school are walking around, giving people an ominous feeling, and the color of the whole light is red.And this is the ghost’s perspective, which shows that the ghost wants to kill everyone, everything is in her hands.
The full shot is the character’s back slowly out of the door. The light flashed and darkened in the strong lightning. As the character walks out, the light gets darker and darker until it ends up completely dark.In this part, the audience can not see at all what is outside the door, feeling that the character is heading for the unknown and dying.
In the whole film, the light is sometimes very strong, and there are a lot of red, green and yellow light, which makes the atmosphere of the whole film mysterious. In terms of lens, there are many high-angle lenses give people a sense of insecurity. The switching of many close-up lenses increases the tension of the film. The camera often moves horizontally to create suspense.
