Field Botany

My hobby is field botany, and I have a particular soft spot for Bryophytes, Brassicaceae (the cabbage family), Poaceae (grasses) and urban floras.

I organise field meetings and workshops, and I help running societies such as the British Bryological Society, Sorby Natural History Society (Sheffield) and the South Yorkshire Botany Group, a local group of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland.

I also report some of my botanical activities on my botanical blog, Ambroise’s Botany but not as regularly as I would like to.
